Human Coat Hangers

It makes me sad that these young and gorgeous girls are starving themselves to death and using drugs to get gigs in the modeling industry. I know from experince how depressing it can be to not "fit" the part of what these casting directors and agents are looking for, and that is why I am now a size 4-6 depending on jeans styles and a large on top which I love what my Mama gave me and dont care what they think. I may not be a perfect ten in their eyes but in mine, I am.
I no longer think that the human hanger is what is in fashion now, but health! Being in top shape and healthy is what is in now. No one wants to see or be a skeleton, and the reason that these agents and directors want younger girls is so they can fit in their -00 size clothes. I don't know of any woman that doesn't do drugs or have a health problems that is this size. So, in my opinion this is why they are targeting the 12 and above kids, becuase their bodies haven't developed yet! It's sad but true....

  1. I have a friend who is really little, she might make a hundred pounds wet. She doesn't look terribly skinny, she has litle frame so it looks good on her. She eats healthy foods and excercises. I believe that plays a big part also when it comes to looking good. I'm with you the human hanger is out!

  2. I hope you're right, that the human coat hanger look is heading out. I have a thirteen year old daughter who struggles with her weight and it hurts me to see her agonizing over something like this at such a young age.

  3. It's amazing how society and different industries put so much pressure on things that put pressure on our kids. I recently lost a lot of weight because of stress and a bacteria in my stomach and every time I see someone I haven't seen in a while they make sure they remind me of how skinny I am. I let them know that I didn't choose this it chose me but I feel better and I'm getting comfortable with my size now!! I hope and pray that our kids can be comfortable with who they are as long as they are healthy!!

  4. We do this to ourselves when we allow other people to tell us how we should look. A woman needs to define her own beauty.
